Day 6 of Peanut Butter Wolfs 7 Days in Los Angeles

"Great to rock Firecracker. The system was second best out of the 7 nights
and the crowd was even better. I couldn't believe I saw Keith Tamashiro.
That made my night. Also great to have Dam Funk and B + both spinning
for their birthdays. Dam really set the tone right before I went on. I spent
the whole day working on 2 sets, but got to the club only in time to do the
second set (the disco set.)" Said Peanut Butter Wolf.

This was my one and only night to witness PBW. I tried to go to Carbon in
Culver City but dude packs the kids in! Upon my entrance into the Grand
Star, a legendary Jazz Club in the heart of Chinatown and home to the
infamous Firecracker!

The Firecracker has been home for DJ's such as Alfred Hawkins, Eric
Coleman, Kutmah and Resident MC Azul for more than 7 years strong.
Stepping into this densly packed house I felt the warmth and the
anticipation from the crowd.

"Can I get your photo?" Asked a fellow photographer. "Why Sho"! I
said as I got into my stance. He hit me off with a pound and told
me to check the Xlarge site to check out my picture. (I wasn't
pictured-dayum, I thought that stance was a sure shot!)

After waiting in line for a drink for 5 minutes, a girl looks back at
me and asks me what I would like to drink. I gladly shouted out,
"Diet Coke con Limon!" She laughed and we cheers to the awesome
night ahead of us.

Getting into the dark dank upstairs I glance and see nothing, the
room is packed wall to wall, waiting for Peanut Butter Wolf! Wow!
I was glad to be a part of this one. The room shook and swayed
as one entity like being on a starship cruiser on Disneyland's
StarTours, without the zany robot tour guide.

The tour guide at this moment was Alfred Hawkins, playing
the ill ass cuts. I quickly made my way to the front religiously
snapping photos and my neck at the same time.

Wizards & Warriors!! I have seen Eric Coleman perform before,
but for some reason, when he stepped up, I was like dayum
Homie...My mind is playin' tricks on meh! Cause he was makin'
magic with some serious rhythms.

As it got closer to midnight, the crowd grew more and more
hungry for Peanut Butter! Tonight the menu, Disco. 70's 80's,
whatever. Now in Dr. Octagon's Bare WItness, the lyrics we
hear over and over again are, "Creatin' Rap Music Cuz I
never Dug Disco!" Amen! I second that emotion. However!
We were all put to bed that night with smiles on our face
due the strong vast knowledge and curation of PBW's
knowledge and order of Discoteca's! Man, Woman & Child,
I worked up a sweat!

Even though he only did one of his two sets. G-D Dayum
Dam Funk Made This DJ's Day!
